On Monday, September 16th your AFA MEC (Master Executive Council) Officers met with Alaska Airline Labor Leaders as well as our pilot Labor Leaders. Each labor workgroup provided an update on their current challenges with AAG. The Coalition also discussed common concerns surrounding issues such as uniforms, the right to wear union insignia, drug and alcohol policies, and leisure pass travel. Labor Coalition meetings continue to prove their value not just in identifying common concerns, but also in ensuring that Company-proposed solutions have mutual benefit.
Your MEC Officers will be meeting with Horizon management for their quarterly Labor Leaders meeting on November 14th. We will provide an update on the topics discussed at the conclusion of the meeting and post the update to www.afahorizon.org as well as the HZN AFA FB page.
