Contract Mediation Update 06/23/25

We had our first mediation session with the NMB today! We spent most of the day learning about the process and bringing our mediator, Mike Kelliher up to speed on the history of our negotiations. We also began to build a list of the open issues in each Article. Negotiations will continue tomorrow and Wednesday.

Mediation is a big step for us, but today is also important for another reason—it’s time to put on your red pins! Your pin tells management that our contract negotiations are our top priority. We deserve more money and better work rules, and we are going to work together to ensure that our contract negotiations are successful.

We wear the white AFA pin every day when working, whether we are in or out of negotiations. The red AFA pin tells a different story. It shows that we are proud AFA members who are in complete support for a new and improved AFA contract for the Horizon Flight Attendants. We are informed and engaged. Membership support is the key to successful negotiations. Without it, we are simply a few people asking management for contract improvements. Your participation and support make a huge difference at the bargaining table. 

The members of the Mobilization Committee will be out and about in crew rooms handing out pins, and a supply will also be in each crew room. Please reach out to your Local Officers to find out where they are located in your base.
