Upcoming Domicile Changes for MFR & PAE

Management informed our union this morning of significant base shifts in our operation. Here’s what we know about how this will affect our flying partners in MFR and PAE.

Medford (MFR) 

Management will close the Medford base in the second quarter (April-June) of 2026. Currently, there are 37 Flight Attendants based there. 

Review these relevant Contractual provisions:

• ARTICLE 16, E. Domicile Closure

• ARTICLE 17,  Moving Expenses

Paine Field (PAE)

Management will reduce the number of Flight Attendants based at PAE in the second quarter (April-June) of 2026. Management has not yet determined the number of reductions they plan to make.

Review these relevant Contractual provisions:

• ARTICLE 16, C.2 Involuntary Transfer

• ARTICLE 17,  Moving Expenses

Las Vegas (LAS)

Management will open a Flight Attendant base at Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) in the second quarter (April-June) of 2026. We are waiting for a response from management on the planned size of this base.

• ARTICLE 16, A. Filling of Vacancies

• ARTICLE 16, C. Involuntary Transfer

• ARTICLE 17,  Moving Expenses

This can be extremely unsettling for the Flight Attendants who are affected. The MEC will be working closely with Inflight management to ensure the protection of our contract. Our union will continue our advocacy to minimize the impact and throughout any transition. We are dedicated to working to get you the best possible protections and timely information so you and your families can make the best possible decision for your lives. We encourage Flight Attendants to use the resources of AFA EAP.
