Reserve Guide
We are excited to announce that we have an updated Reserve Guide! After much hard work and dedication by your Reserve Committee and in partnership with Nik Hoback, Inflight Training Specialist, we finally have a guide available to assist New Hires/Reserve Flight Attendants. This guide is not a replacement for our contract, but rather an additional resource to help you understand the details of our current contract.
Inflight Peer-to-Peer Safety Audit (IPPSA)
The MEC has approved a new agreement for our enhanced Inflight Peer-to-Peer Program (IPPSA), which updates and strengthens our current Pre LOSA Program. This agreement, reached by our MECP, Lisa Davis Warren, with Inflight Vice President, Shelly Parker, before her departure, secures protections for the program and was over 18 months in the making. We thank the current Steering Committee members, Jennifer Levcun and Norann Mann, the MEC Air Safety, Health, and Security Committee, the MEC members, and the MEC Officers for their commitment. Special appreciation goes to Shelly Parker for her attention in the final stages. The MEC will soon post all program positions (Steering committee, coordinator, observers). Please watch for our upcoming newsletter or monitor our Facebook Page for updates.

Commute On Other Airlines Update
The MEC President was successful in securing a continuation of our Commute on Other Airlines Agreement that will remain in place through the date we ratify a new contract. Shelly Parker, VP, Inflight, ensured this agreement had her signature prior to her departure on Friday and we are pleased this additional protection will be in place for the winter months and through Section 6 Negotiations.

October Contract Negotiations not to be held - Management declines
The federal government is still shut down. This means that our federal mediator will not be able to meet with AFA and management next week as scheduled. We asked management if they would be willing to meet without the mediator to keep things moving.
Vacation Bidding is Open - Need Help?
Vacation bidding 2026 is on! Contractual references for vacation bidding are in our Contract, Article 11, Page 123.
Negotiations & Impact of Federal Government Shut Down
As you know, the federal government has been shut down since October 1st. We are starting to see the effects of the shutdown in ATC staffing shortages, leading to ground stops and delays. But the shutdown may also have an effect on our negotiations.
