About the MEC Employee Assistance Program/Professional Standards (EAP)
This position is elected by the members of the Master Executive Council as set forth in the AFA Constitution and Bylaws each 3-year election cycle.
The Employee Assistant Program chairperson coordinates with Local Council chairs, confidentially assisting Flight Attendants, their families and partners with work related and personal issues. The chairperson and/or Local Council chairs respond to critical incidents involving Flight Attendants. More information related to the duties of the chairperson are found in the MEC policy and procedures manual, page 29.
