Local Officers and representatives, whether elected or appointed, have a high fiduciary duty and sacred trust to serve the best interests of the members honestly and faithfully.

Oath of Office:
"I promise to faithfully discharge my duties according to the Constitution and Bylaws of the Union, and I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion.  I shall, at all times, endeavor to serve my members and the Union to the best of my ability.”

Council leadership serves a three-year term.  Council 16 is on election category III.
