One month in… We have been busy! Organizing committees, future and present social media presence, mobilization planning, multiple trainings, and lots of grievance work. We are learning a lot and utilizing all members' voices with a common goal of UNITY to fight for a contract that we not only deserve but livable wages that we work darn hard for.
We have heard that you want to know how your Union dues are being used. Here is a chart and message that explains how your dues are working for you.
AFA-CWA Pie Chart
The Dues pie chart depicts where the majority of funds are budgeted. You’ll note that over three-quarters of the dues dollars are budgeted on activities that on activities that support LEC’s, MEC’s, System Boards, Negotiations and other activities that directly support members at all of the airlines.
The remaining funds are spent at the International Office in support of our profession. In addition to the International Officers, included are budgets for our Government Affairs, Air Safety, EAP and Communication departments, each of which provides a service to further the agenda of our Board of Directors. Finally, included are our Membership Services and Accounting Departments, who are responsible for conducting elections, collecting dues and paying the bills.

Please know that none of your Union dues will ever be used for a political party, and the budgets are available for members to view upon scheduling an agreeable date and time in person.
