LEC 16 Report
March 24, 2025

Council updates:
- LEC 16 budget - $16,776.00, 43.13% under budget, year to date.
- Hartford, Leave and Benefit payments and process - Length of time before Flight Attendant receives payment(s). Coinciding with WA State Law. Communication process to be established in a written procedure.
- Investigatory meetings close out process - Length of time from the initial meeting to formal close out.
- SEA Construction - Ongoing.
- PAE Field - To receive designated walkways, safety paths and safety features. Approved and awaiting completion confirmation.
- BOI/GEG Parking - BOI parking remains the same for now. No 24 hr parking allowed, however, possible change in the future. GEG Parking overflow lot across the street. Management will communicate with the Port the importance of opening the overflow lot more frequently. (i.e., holidays).
- New Crew Room (GEG) - No official date but confirmation of a new crew room, possibly in 2026.
- FAIF sync - Local 16 Officers confirmed that FAIF sync compliance may be completed before check in. This was also confirmed on the recorded DAG meeting in March by the MEC ASHS Chair.
- New L1 door procedure - Local 16 Officers confirmed that Flight Attendants may step off of the aircraft to close L1. Also confirmed by the MEC ASHS Chair during SRA (recorded).
- LEC Officers | Management meetings - New schedule of quarterly meetings with the ability to reach out informally as needed.
- CRM issues - Conversation around CRM issues and multidivisional issues. Discussed bringing in AS training from the past. Concerns with communication between working crew members.
- Mental health program alignment - Alignment with Wings of Wellness. Received confirmation that this program is now being worked on development between MEC EAP and Management (De-escalation tactics)
- Training concerns - Safety competency concerns with newer FAs.
- SEA Parking - Recently checked for safety. No cut outs in fencing. Arms closed and secured. Unhoused Individuals were not living in the woods around the perimeter of parking lot(s).
- PAE Parking - Will now require a car hang tag or vehicle will be towed. Started Monday, March 24, 2025). No advanced heads-up was given.
- New Leave and Benefit Representative will be taking over. More members from LEC 16
want to join the Mobilization Committee and are awaiting May’s virtual training from Toni
Higgins, AFA International. ( Date)?
Council 16 Membership top concerns:
- Pay.
- Schedules - Poor efficiency of pairing build. Too long of days for the rest received.
Updates requested:
- Inflight Fatigue Risk Management Plan (IFRMP) - Status update on aligning with AS process.
- CLOA Agreement - Status update.
- Wings Of Wellness - Start date update.
- Monthly MEC Chair Meeting with MECVP - Reimplementation of this former monthly meeting.
- LOSA LOA - Status update.
