Message from LEC President Moore on the MEC Elections

This was an exceptionally difficult decision, made with full awareness that; regardless of the outcome it would not be viewed positively by everyone. The responsibility you entrusted to me requires that I act not out of personal interest, but out of duty to our collective future. My decision was informed by multiple factors  including interviews, long-term strategy, risk assessment, and the potential for division.  Ultimately, it was guided by the feedback I received directly from Flight Attendants.

Believe me or not... at the time that I was running for Local President I had no intentions to hold another Officer position or vote for myself. However, as more of you reached out, it became clear that many within our group believed I was the choice. I recognize that there are some that don't subscribe to that idea and I'm certainly happy to hear your constructive feedback.

What remains unwavering is my commitment as your leader. My priority is, and will continue to be, unity especially in bringing us together to secure a contract that provides livable wages.

I have consistently heard calls for “new blood” and “new faces.” I completely agree. I will continuously encourage each of us to get involved.  Our collective strength is our greatest asset. Let us stand united, focus our efforts where they belong, and work together to achieve the contract we deserve.

Through Unity we prevail
