PAE Base Update

 What a day! Management really rocked the boat with today's announcements for our Horizon crew base in Paine Field/Everett.  Numerous crewmembers, including your Local President, attended today's meeting both in person and via Teams.

Management announced that there will be a reduction in the Paine/Everett crew base as a result of  “underperforming.”  What does this mean exactly? Management will get back to us. 

We also asked numerous times how much the base will be reduced, and management was clear that they don't have numbers ready to share.  It was mentioned that natural attrition will potentially alleviate the need for a reduction.

At this point, what we know is that there are many unknowns. Management’s timeline will occur sometime in Quarter 2.  April? May? June?  More to come.... We will share more information as it is provided. 

Our hearts go out to all the Medford crew members with the announcement of the base closure.
