End of Year Reminders & Newsletter

As we approach the Thanksgiving Holiday, we want to take a moment and wish you a peaceful and happy holiday. We are grateful for all of you, as peers, friends, and family.  We are all a group of individuals who have come to Horizon for numerous reasons, but together we are a powerhouse of dedicated, resilient Flight Attendants. As we enter 2026, we have a lot on the docket, but together with One Union and One Voice, we've got your back.

Cram the Crew Room:  Grab what you need, Restock/share when you can!  In honor of Thanksgiving and being thankful lets take care of each other. Boxes are available in all 7 crew rooms.  We know that Holidays can be hard please know you have resources always available to you contact EAP at 1-800-424-2406

 End-of-the-year reminders:  

Incentive (Holiday) Pay Program:

A Flight Attendant shall be paid four (4) credit hours, in addition to all other compensation, for each of the following holidays if worked a Trip or is available for Reserve assignment on that day. See the Dates to remember below for upcoming Incentive/Holiday Pay dates. (Article 3. F Page 20)

Thanksgiving Day: Thursday, November 27th, 2025

Christmas Day: Thursday, December 25th, 2025

New Year's Day: Thursday, January 1st, 2026

 Uniforms:

On January 1 of each year, the Company will credit the uniform replacement bank of each full-time Flight Attendant with $300 and each part-time Flight Attendant and Flight Attendant who is ineligible for benefits with $190. The bank may be used to purchase required or optional uniform pieces. For Flight Attendants who, as of January 1, have not completed one year of employment, the amounts credited to their banks will be: (Article 12 Page 129)

        Full-Time    Part-Time

Under 3 months                      $0                $0

3-6 months                             $130           $85

6-9 months                             $228           $163

Over 9 months                        $300           $190

*A Flight Attendant cannot have more than two years’ accrual in their uniform replacement bank.

 Uniform Compliant shoes: At their option, Flight Attendants will be reimbursed for up to $50.00 from their uniform bank for the cost of uniform-compliant shoes. The Company may require the Flight Attendant to provide receipts.

Winter Weather Gear: At their option, Flight Attendants will be reimbursed for up to $37.50 per year for the purchase of uniform-compliant winter scarves and gloves.

Expense Reimbursement:

Steps to Follow:

o   Fill out form :  account will be 53010  (Uniforms)

o   Submit>Print Form sign form

o   attach receipts

o   comail/slide under door to [email protected]

      Thanksgiving Day Holiday Pay Thursday, November 27th

        Deadline for MEC Officer positions Friday, November 28th

Fly: Travel Open Enrollment Tuesday, December 2nd-16th

MEC Officer positions Appointment meeting Friday, December 5th

Christmas Day Holiday Pay Thursday, December 25th

Unused guest passes must be exchanged by Wednesday, December 31st

New Year's Day Holiday Pay Thursday, January 1st, 2026
