Become a Mobilization Volunteer

What is Mobilization?

Mobilization is more than just a committee—it’s a program of action and information that allows every Flight Attendant to play a positive role in building a strong voice in support of our Negotiating Committee.  Mobilization establishes a structure to provide information about key issues and achieve a high level of participation in solidarity activities. The structure allows information to be shared quickly and effectively, primarily through one-on-one interactions driven by Mobilization Volunteers in each base.

Mobilization Volunteers

Mobilization Volunteers work to involve Flight Attendants in the negotiating process by actively sharing news and updates, educating them about official resources, and asking them to show support through collective actions. LEC16 Officers are beginning to look for mobilization volunteers now. Sign Up to get involved.

Reasons to become a volunteer

1. You Want Us to Achieve a Good Contract

Good contracts require strong support of our Negotiating Committee from our entire work group.  The stronger we stand, the stronger the contract.

2. You’re Not Afraid to Let Management Know That We Stand Together

When our voices are united in support of our Negotiating Committee, we send a loud message to management.  When our actions are united in solidarity, the message is even louder.

3. You Want Management to Recognize Our Contributions

Of all the positions within the company, Flight Attendants have the most direct interaction and spend the most time with passengers.  We have been told time and again by management that it is our people who make the difference and keep these passengers coming back.

4. Quality of Life Is Important to You

Being able to balance work and life is important to us.  Together, we bargain for work rules and provisions that allow us to achieve this.
